Mackenzie Crossman

Originally from Daytona Beach area, Mackenzie is a senior music education major at the University of Central Florida. She started playing the clarinet in her school band in sixth grade. She immediately took a great interest in doubling and, within a few short years, began studying piano and oboe. During her time at Daytona State College, she performed with flute choir, saxophone quartet, symphonic band, symphony orchestra, and pit orchestra. Since coming to UCF, Mackenzie has had the opportunity to study with many great professors and learn from world-renown musicians who visit the campus. She has played in many different ensembles at UCF and earned the John R. Quello Memorial Music Scholarship for the 2016-2017 school year.
As a teacher, Mackenzie has worked with students ages four through eighty. She believes that studying music develops creativity, hard work, collaboration, patience, and appreciation for many different aspects of culture. Her goal as a teacher is to help create independent musicians who will be lifelong learners and lovers of music. She plans to graduate with a Bachelor in Music Education in May 2017. Upon completion of her degree, Mackenzie will be eligible to become a licensed K-12 music teacher in the state of Florida.

Mackenzie Crossman is currently not instructing any classes.
