Piano Pathways Summer Camp 2018

Cultivating an appreciation of music in our children is so important. Playing a musical instrument can enhance and develop math skills, language, coordination, social skills, and improvements in spatial-temporal reasoning. Music is one of the greatest gifts we can give to our children and summer is the perfect time of year to nurture a love of music and provide kids with a fun and educational musical experience with Piano Pathways Summer Camp.

The Piano Camp is a week-long performance intensive program for young pianists, ages 6-16

Daily Activities (9AM – 2PM)
Private lesson (everyday)
Group session in a master-class setting
Music Composers Histroy
Literature / Sight-reading / Theory Classes
Practice time
All participants will perform in a final recital at the end of the week

Orlando Drum Camp 2018

LOCATION: Good Shepard Catholic School TIME: 9AM-1PM.

AGES: Pre-k to 12th Grade   AVAILABILITY: June 4th-8th

Come join us for the largest percussion camp in all of Central Florida! During our 7th annual drum camp, students of all experience levels have the opportunity to learn about and play different drums from all over the world. In addition to learning about different instruments and musical concepts, all participants will have the opportunity to perform multiple pieces for the final concert!

Activities will include rhythmic workshops, drum set master classes, stomp, small ensembles, music theory, and more. High school students will spend plenty of time with marching percussion (snare, bass, tenors, cymbals). Pre-K students will have creative arts and crafts, educational music games, and more specialized instruction.

Laurent Boukobza International Piano Camp

LOCATION: East Orlando School of Music TIME: 9AM-3PM.

AGES: 4-18  AVAILABILITY: June 4-8, June 11-15 & June 18-22, 2018

Students will receive about 25 minutes of private instruction everyday, Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM until 3:00 PM with Professor Boukobza (for Intermediate/Advanced camp) and with Hannah Fontecchio (for Beginning camp) in a master class setting (students will observe other students’ lessons). Other activities available to students include yoga for pianists, instruction in relaxation and body awareness, music theory, piano literature, sight reading, jazz improvisation and daily practice time. (Participation in yoga is not required, but it is encouraged as it aims to increase body awareness, freedom from tension, and heightened focus. To participate, students must bring their own yoga mat, or can rent one for $2 per class). Please bring a packed lunch; complimentary snacks and drinks will be provided each day.
